lyrics

Lunar Way
I landed in my dustbin upside gamble
Kicked up quite a cloud of distorted disturbance
Like a flicker floating fleeting of interest awoken

I ventured in tired footprints towards the rocky distance
Gazing and inspecting for any signs of life
Or anything I could flog easily back to saps back home

Maybe this rock is worth something I ponder
Even though it doesn’t look like gold close under
Mind you it feels pretty weighty
Then I think about the cost of postage on eBay
And throw it back to the alien

Darn my suit had so many pockets free
But there is nothing here to plunder that I can see
Come on I’m human I need to have me some destruction
For that is affirmative my primary function is it nay

I started to dream about all the fast cars and women
All the sex and gambling and endless champagne
All would be mine if I succeed here heroic

So I convinced myself that a few rocks taken
Would be considered crime lite by any nation
That would be my plea to deaf peers
When I made a mint back home

Heck I’ve got so greedy that my air thingy is now warning beepy
Five minutes left to find safety as I filled my treasure to my boots
But as I reached somehow the saviour capsule I was now too heavy
But luckily there was no proper gravity here to stop me this time

Back in the capsule bubble safely I examined all this plunder
From this land of wonder that I had now uncovered
Full of so much promise until I had actually landed there

I prepared myself for take-off with my new wealth a gift horse
When suddenly every alarm went off and switch tripped
It seemed I have been in such a rush that I had blocked up with dust
The healthy ducts that kept my craft sweet and warm enough

So that’s how I stay here now waiting for a rescue radioed
That they know in reality will be too late to save my burdened soul
Well at least I shall die a hero back home

Until they read this!
